Abba, Father

 

 

"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."

▣Mark 14:36

 

Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."

▣Galatians 4:6

 

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

▣Romans 8:15

 

The former,Abba, is aramaic for father.The latter,Father, is Greek in the original version of the Bible.New Testament is written in Greek.

 

Old Testament is written in Hebrew.But Aramaic is found in old Testament(Ezra 4:8~6:18 ,Daniel 2:4 ,Jeremiah 10:11, Genesis 31:47)

 

And Messiah(Hebrew) and Christ(Greek) both mean Anointed One.

 

Likewise,Bibile is written in three languages: Hebrew,Greek,Aramaic.
