What is the sacrifices of pagans?

 

They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;they provoked the LORD to anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them.

They sacrificed unto devils(demons), not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not

This passage is about the ancestral rites for Baal.

Baal is a god of fertility  in the ancient Near East.Hosea portrayed the ancestral rites for Baal:

of my people. They consult a wooden idol and are answered by a stick of wood. A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God.
They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar and terebinth, where the shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.

There is such a phrase in New Testment.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
